Clinical Supervision
KAI Wellness Center believes in excellent and reliable supervision
I believe that supervision is an important part of the growth of professionals. Supervision played an important role in my development as a mental health professional. It’s the foundation that leads you towards an exciting future as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
I currently only work with Registered Social Work Interns and prospective social work interns in the state of Florida.
FAQs
- What do I have to do to become licensed?
You need to have at least 100 hours of supervision in no less than 100 weeks
Must see clients face-to-face for at least 1,500 hours
Meet with your qualified supervisor at least 1 hour every two weeks.
Complete the ASWB Exam
- Do we have to meet weekly?
No, only if you want to. The requirement is that we have to meet every other week.
- Do we always meet in person?
I know traveling can be difficult at times so I’m open to meeting via electronic methods. The requirement is that we meet at least 50% of the time in person.
Where do we meet in-person?
In the Ft. Lauderdale, FL area. We can discuss places that allow for supervision to be effective.
- What model of supervision do you utilize?
I’d like to think I use multiple modalities in terms of supervision. I like to use a development model of supervision. At first, I gauge where you’re currently at as a clinician and work from there. With your collaboration, I learn what your needs and interests are. As a supervisor, I’m there to be supportive and guide you towards your solutions.
